About
Mr. Pickering received his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Spanish at Tulane University and completed a Master's Degree in Spanish Literature and Linguistics at the University of Texas at Austin. He also attended Vanderbilt University's #1-globally ranked PhD program in Spanish Literature, opting to leave before he completed his dissertation. Justin has 13 years of experience teaching Spanish at the high school, middle school, and university levels.
Additionally, Mr. Pickering held various officer roles in several start-up companies in the sectors of television, renewable energy, management consulting, and education. Mr. Pickering has led creative direction at Blaine & González for 15 years.
In addition to his duties as Creative Director of Blaine & González, Mr. Pickering is a member of the Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association. He is the first-ever translator to be a member of this council in the 76-year history of the organization. Mr. Pickering sits on the Tax Reform and Economic Development Committees. The NSBA is a 60,000-member, non-partisan grassroots organization whose purpose is to advance the cause of small business owners all over the USA.
Mr. Pickering also belongs to the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA), a large non-profit that holds events where Town Managers/Mayors in Massachusetts can meet with business owners in person to discuss partnering to solve municipal issues around the Commonwealth. Mayor Wu of Boston sits on the Board of the MMA and ensures the meetings are community-focused and people-first.
Justin is the author of Q. Suite, a next-gen communications software aid designed to create helpful, harmonious conversation in government, academic, corporate, and business settings.
Q. Suite is endorsed by Eric Burger, Assistant Director for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).
Blaine & González is a member of the General Services Administration (GSA) and is one of only 95 licensed and registered translation contractors to the US Federal Government. Past clients include DEA and Department of State.
