From June 10th to 15th, 2018, B&G will send a team to our nation's capital. Our CEO, Justin Pickering, is the first-ever translation company owner appointed to the National Small Business Association Leadership Committee, a non-partisan think tank and lobbying group whose sole mission is to improve opportunities for small businesses all across America.
Our DC delegation will have a chance to meet with our Massachusetts Congresswoman, Katherine Clarke in a small group setting. Once there, we will have a chance to discuss what issues matter for small businesses in Massachusetts and America. We will bring up issues such as taxation, representation at the local, state, and Federal level, unions for small businesses, protecting against consumer fraud, best practices, and the future of small business in an ever-changing, ever-more-globalizing world. In addition, there may be a group meeting in the White House Press Room. B&G's delegation may have a chance to meet with the President's aides who handle small business issues in a Q&A session where the administration representatives outline the President's plan for small business. (This is a tentatively scheduled event as White House staff members' schedules can change at the drop of a hat.) Stay tuned for future developments on B&G's trip to our nation's capital. We will post more after June 15th.
